Wilderness Safaris has just opened their latest property, the ultra-luxe Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp.
The new camp comprises eight stylish en-suite tents, including one family unit, each with a shaded outdoor lounge area where guests can relax and enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding desert. The main area includes a lounge, bar area, dining room, library, fire pit, swimming pool and sun-deck.
The camp’s remote location on the Skeleton Coast is the perfect place to take in some of Africa’s best desert mammal viewing. Half-day and full-day game drives are available where you can spot desert-adapted elephant, gemsbok, giraffe, springbok, brown hyena, scrub hare and occasionally lion and rhino.
One of the best ways to see this new property is a six-night ‘Fly-in Safari‘ from Gane and Marshall which starts in the city of Windhoek and continues into two days at Etosha National Park, one of South Africa’s best game reserves. The final three nights are spent at the new Skeleton Coast Camp, and include a full-day flight trip over the Skeleton Coast, where you’ll see the rugged coastline dotted with shipwrecks and the resident seal colony.
Prices start at a reasonable $4,800 per adult.
