Concrete Architectural Associates designed the citizenM Hotel in London, an inviting mix of spaces bursting with color and energy. Located just South of Tate Modern, the hotel pays tribute to contemporary art and accommodates plenty of mind-blowing works by creative minds everywhere.
“The ground floor, with its open-plan lobby, is styled to look like the living rooms of a very well-traveled person”, according to CMO Robin Chadha. “Every detail is thought through in delineated spaces that now mix elegance with the old exuberance, all in cooperation with furniture design giant Vitra”. Interior works by Gavin Turk, Mario Testino, an impressive floor to ceiling mural by the artist Assume Vivid Astro Focus (AVAF) and a text installation on the facade by Mark Titchner contribute to the artistic value of the building.
Hotel services and amenities include staff available 24 hours a day, soundproof and non-smoking rooms, facilities for disabled guests, elevator, safety deposit box, air conditioning, luggage storage, closet space, 24 hour a day canteenM and cocktail bar.
