Another entry into the ‘eco’ luxury area – this in yachts. Interesting incorporation of alternative energy sources to power this beast.
Alastair Callender of Coventry University is a pretty bright spark. The junior designer so impressed from Solar Sailor Holdings Ltd. With his design for an eco-friendly superyacht the firm agreed to sponsor initial development of the project employing their wind, solar and Hybrid Marine Power (HMP) technology. The sleek 58-metre Soliloquy as Callender’s craft is called features a rigid wing rig, architecturally dynamic styling and high-tech lines. All else aside it’s a damn good-looking yacht concept. – From James List
