Lotus’s newest model, the Elite, will debut at the upcoming Paris auto show. The Elite will sport a big V-8 up front and looks radical than the Elise and Evora.
The 5.0-liter V-8 will produce 542 hp at 8000 rpm in the standard car, 612 at 8000 in the R-Spec trim. Both will come only with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, which recent patent filings suggest was developed in-house. A hybrid model will sit atop the range.
The cost of the new Lotus Elite will start at about $180,000.
