Here’s a reprint (click the image below to see larger) of the Bitchslap ad that Chanel ran on the back page of Friday’s WWD. You don’t want to get on the bad side of Karl Lagerfeld… So editors, writers, advertisers, and other “well-intentioned mis-users” of the Chanel name — think twice or be warned… So, in the comments below, please post ways we should absolutely not refer to the Chanel name.

Hey, I understand. When a Brand Name is overused everyday, people become desensitized. After a while it no longer has the same effect and the Brand loses its stamina. Therefore, losing buyers and money.

“Chanel” is misused and abused almost as frequently as “Kleenex”. But in slightly different ways.

The thing is, there is really no need for people to buy fake- if you cannot afford it new, there is used and vintage.
Trust me, you can get used luxury goods for pretty equivalent price to fake products, sometimes even lower, and the quality will be better and they will last LONGER than your new fake!
Much more honorable, if you ask me!
Also, one pair of quality shoes, or one quality purse will last longer than five or ten cheap ones. So, one does not really save that much in the long run by going cheap.

I might also add, another thing that Chanel is – Chanel is more reasonably priced than health care in America.
Yes, I speak from recent experience.

Kathleen Shimp has it absolutely right. Chanel is less costly than health care and at least you have something to show for it if you can afford tp purchase anything by Chanel.

I support Chanel completely. Their ad was very polite. If they don’t actively protect their trademark it goes into public domain and they lose their trademark.
