There is more than one reason for Jessica Ennis to feel happy after the Olympics. Not many of sportsmen get something special done for them by the sports companies. But, as Ennis, who is just 26 years old and got the crown of Olympic heptathlon to herself this season, the Olympics sponsor Adidas thought of doing something special for her great performance at the great event. Adidas took the red adiZero shoes from Ennis, which she originally wore during the heptathlon win on August 4th and got them customized with gold. Well, you surely call that a gold treatment to the Gold winning beautiful athlete.

The public celebration of her victory was held at Barker’s Pool as Lord Mayor of Sheffield called out for the masses to gather gold assets with them for the inspiring young athlete’s welcome, Adidas also set mind to give Ennis a feel of luxury and something that she can always feel nostalgic about apart from the Olympic Gold that she bagged. The company shared a little piece of video that shows how the customization was done with the red adiZero high jump shoes. The Adidas logo and the other important parts of the shoes were plated with gold.

Adidas is also trying to persuade Andy Murray to get his Barricade 7.0 shoes leafed in gold which he wore while defeating Roger Federer in the men’s tennis final. If this exquisite persuasion yields result, then it would really be, again, a great collaboration, because Andy Murray helped Great Britain to celebrate its first Olympic Gold Medal in Tennis since 1908.

Below, Olympic medallists Sir Chris Hoy, Jessica Ennis, Victoria Pendleton, Louis Smith and Pete Reed are joined by a number of other athletes from Team GB in their own version of Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ – celebrating the success of London 2012.
