Pursuitist got the opportunity to chat with with Vanderpump Rules’ Katie Maloney this week, dishing with the reality starlet on everything from her newest venture—a makeup and lifestyle website called Pucker & Pout to the question on everyone’s minds … are she and Tom finally engaged?

We had a blast chatting with Maloney, who, even in the early morning hours, was engaging and friendly, as down-to-earth as her TV personality makes her seem.

Here’s what we learned:

Fans of the show were left hanging in the final episodes … are you and Tom engaged yet?

{Laughs} I will say this, no, we’re not. When I initially gave that ultimatum I wasn’t really thinking in terms of how long six months is and how fast that goes by.

We’re still trying to work on our relationship, and coming out of what we went through, we’re still trying to work through things. I was a little impulsive with my decision. [But] I have really put the heat on him and he knows it. I’m confident I won’t have to wait much longer.

I don’t want to force him. I know he wants to – we’re both almost about ready, so not giving him an expiration date is best.

Are things at SUR really as dramatic as they have been the last few seasons or with Kristen and Stassi gone are they more normal?

It has been as dramatic as it seems! Some of the big blow-ups and the big dramatics have subsided. Everyone is at a very different place in his or her lives. Hindsight is a plus, and the dust has settled.

There was a rumor after a recent appearance that you were pregnant. Want to put that one to rest?

{Laughs} You wear a certain dress that fits a certain way and people want to say you’re hiding a baby bump. No, I’m not!

When you’re not taping – are you really working at SUR?

We still are working there – obviously not Kristen or Stassi – but I never worked full time or anything. It was always more or less on a part-time basis. I’m still there weekly; it fluctuates with other stuff that happens because of the show. It’s a fine line between maintaining a regular job and life and the job of being on a TV show.

Knowing all the drama Vanderpump Rules has caused your personal life, would you still have done the show?

Honestly, yes. Going into it, you in no way you can prepare yourself. It’s inexplicable. But, even though it hasn’t always been sunshine and roses, I definitely would do it again.

Is there going to be a new season?

We don’t know yet if there’s going to be another season. We’re very hopeful. Hopefully we find out soon.

Do you even talk to Jax anymore, after all he’s done to you?

We do, yeah. I struggled a lot with him, kind of forgiving him. The truth is, he’s one of my boyfriend’s best friends. As much as there’s times that I wish he’d not be there, I have to accept that he’s going to be in my life, and I’ve begun to place less importance on the things he does and says. I could drive myself crazy caring about it nonstop. At this point we talk and hang out – I can’t necessarily trust him again, but Tom keeps him at bay in certain situations.

You talked a lot about moving past your anger and seem to have gotten super close with Scheanna—who is also really in to makeup and beauty.  Do you two collaborate at all?

We’ve talked about doing something, and thrown some ideas around, but until it’s organic, I don’t want to do something for the sake of doing it.

Do you see Lisa (Vanderpump) when you’re not filming?

We see Lisa all the time. She’s always in Sur and Pump. [Her dog] Jiggy is amazing. She’s always so beautiful and put together. I never seen her in anything less than a six-inch heel, hair and make up done, fully accessorized!

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Obviously five years ago I was interning at Warner Brother Record; I wanted to go into music publishing. Things can change really quickly. Five years is a long time.

Ideally, I want to continue with Pucker & Pout. I think it would be fun to have a makeup line or hair products, something along those lines – something that’s unique to myself. I want something that I would really have fun creating on my own, even though I know that it’s a ton of work.

I’m moving forward every day, but staying open to things as well.

What made you decide to create your beauty and fashion site, Pucker & Pout?

You need sometimes an outlet that feels productive. I couldn’t pursue music publishing and take up a second job. I needed something that was a hobby. I’ve been such a product whore my whole life. One of my girlfriends that I started Pucker & Pout with with really encouraged me. All my friends have always come to me to ask what is the best conditioner or iron or what foundation I use … so I thought, why don’t I create a space where I can share all of that and [at the same time] share with the people that follow me on Instagram and all that.

I thought it would be creative and a business at the end of the day. It happened about a year ago and I love it.

What are your favorite products currently?

I have so many favorites! If you’re going to invest in makeup, you should invest in a good foundation and a solid mascara. I love Benefit “They’re Real” mascara; it’s amazing. I also love my new Anastasia contour palate.

Speaking of makeup – how do you suggest we change our routines for spring?

I start to ditch the foundation when the weather is warm or humid. I use a good tinted moisturizer with some SPF in it. I cut out a lot of extras – I use gel liner, blush and waterproof mascara. You have to keep it simple.

You’re in the spotlight. What are you doing to keep up your beauty routine so that you’re camera ready?

As much as I’m into hair and makeup, I’m pretty low maintenance.

I use Aztec Secret- it’s a mask that you mix with apple cider vinegar. It draws everything to the surface and gives your skin a nice glow. You can get it at Whole Foods. I think my boyfriend does it more than I do!

Pursuitist is all about the luxury lifestyle – what’s your favorite hotspot in LA right now?

I’m so disappointing. Can I say Chipotle? {Laughs} Seriously, though.

Drinks at this place called Laurel Hardware are really good. It tends to be crowded, but it’s just kind of a relaxed, chill vibe, come as you are. I don’t like clubs where you have to get dressed up. I want to go with my Nikes on or however I’m looking that day.

What’s your favorite travel destination?

Tom and I are trying to get back to Mexico before the potential new season might start. I went recently to Copenhagen with one of my best friends. We went last year for a week; it was amazing!
