Looking gorgeous in the stunning wedding gown, Natalie Portman is seen walking up the isle of a French riviera venue, Côte d’Azur. Playing the role of a nervous bride as she walks down the aisle, she refuses to be given away by her dad at the end of the walk.
Breaking all barriers, she takes the final call and apologizes to her dad before running away followed by kicking off her heels, throwing away the bouquet of flowers and stepping out of the Dior Couture gown. Clad in a black strapless dress, she is seen perched on the edge of a cliff that overlooks the sea. She climbs the ladder of a helicopter circling overhead to claim her freedom. Thrilled to be rescued by the man flying the chopper, she smiles and makes a short yet passionately affirming statement, “Miss Dior”. Janis Joplin’s “Piece of My Heart” complements the story in the background.
The director of the ad film, Anton Corbijn, speaks about the Israeli-born American actress, “Natalie Portman was fantastic. She is real, she’s genuine. You can see it on the screen, and people relate to it. I think that this ‘truth’ is more important than beauty. Being a beautiful woman is not enough. She’s a real person, a good person, and her personality makes the difference.”
Christian Dior created Miss Dior, his first fragrance in 1947 and it is the brand’s bestselling fragrance till date. The perfume of boldness, renewal and freedom. Miss Dior is a trail and a face.
