Italian luxury fashion house, Moschino has set its foot on the U.S. soil for the first time. The label has officially opened its first boutique in America at 8933 Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles. The debutant store is fashionably conceived by creative director Jeremy Scott.
Spanning over 3,500-square-foot, the American Moschino outlet boasts of expansive white space with large plate-glass windows facing the street. These windows lure onlookers with large-form installations, oversize cola cans as well as mannequins in graphic crushed can-printed dresses.
WWD also reports that Scott’s creations from the main line, including ready-to-wear women’s and men’s collection, accessories comprising of handbags, shoes, scarves, headbands, cell phone and camera cases are up for grabs. Also swimwear, intimates and fragrance are put on display in the store.
Focusing on strategic placements to lure shoppers, Scott placed the cola can print in front, the Spring Barbie capsule in the center, the pre-Spring black and gold and bandana print collections on the right and denim on the left. Movable chrome hanging bars, chrome and glass shelves and stone and concrete vitrines are used to put each and every time in place.
The bare wall featuring the house’s double-C logo highlights the back of the store. However its the oversize cola can that opens up to display more clothes captures attention in the center of the new outpost.
A lot of color is thrown in the bathroom making it the only space without white walls. Red, yellow and black graffiti is seen on the walls and ceiling of the restroom which can be used by shoppers.
