When I arrived in Paris a day late to Paris Fashion Week, I must admit I was disappointed I had already missed some great shows. Fortunately, the first show of the season for me was Manish Arora- one of the most innovative designers. For the Spring/Summer ’14, the designer was inspired by the strong female energy and was not afraid to incorporate that in a big way. Independent and original, the collection was reminiscent of the roaring twenties. Dropped waistline and sequin embroidery were great design concepts for the chosen fabrics of jersey and french terry. And the colors! Banana yellow, sherbert pink, fuschia and mint green.. The Manish Arora woman is definitely not afraid to stand out. Psychedelic prints were accented with bangles galore and the club kid bag packs added a free spirited feel. This season was also the debut of the Manish Arora shoe collection, which was the last piece of a rather complex yet beautifully chic puzzle…
