The famous couturier has launched a capsule collection that is directly inspired by the style of the original punk rockers. In Karl Lagerfeld’s stores from this week, the new pieces will also be available through Net-a-porter.com from October 2.
Nearly all of the latest collections are infused with some amount of classic punk style, from graphic T-shirts to metal studs and leather galore. Honoring the trend of the season, Karl Lagerfeld has presented a capsule collection, featuring eight authentically punk pieces.
The designer chose leather and tartan plaid wool as the main motifs in this ready-to-wear collection, which also includes cashmere and silk materials. The accents, including wide zippers and leather belts, are decidedly punk.
The “Karl Goes Punk” collection includes a biker jacket in tartan wool and leather, a wool and cashmere coat, a T-shirt featuring the designer’s face, two tartan plaid dresses, a tartan plaid skirt and tartan plaid pants (€249 and €299 respectively), or biker-style leather pants (€899).
Fashionistas who live near a Karl Lagerfeld store can also check out three scarves and three bags on the same theme.
