With Lara Stone on maternity leave, Calvin Klein has dipped into the past for the face of its underwear line by tapping 44-year old Christy Turlington to represent the brand. Turlington is no stranger to Calvin Klein, having fronted the brand back in 1988. That marks 25 years for the supermodel.
The fall Calvin Klein Underwear advertising campaign was photographed by Mario Sorrenti in Puerto Rico. The campaign will be a mix of print, digital and outdoor advertising timed to coincide with September magazine issues.
Turlington, a mother of two, has delved into many other projects outside of modeling. She directed and produced No Woman, No Cry — a documentary film about the global state of women’s health. She also founded Every Mother Counts, a campaign to improve the health of girls and women around the world, focusing on the goal to end preventable deaths caused by pregnancy and childbirth worldwide.
