Only a handful of hotels—76 to be exact—surpass the rigorous standards of our incognito inspectors to earn the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating. So it would be unprecedented for one hotel group to receive the prestigious Five-Star rating for all of its U.S. hotels. But this year marked the fourth year in a row that The Peninsula Hotel Group did just that, receiving Five-Star ratings for all three of its properties. The Peninsula Beverly Hills, which was the first U.S. outpost for the China-based hotel group, gained its first Five-Star rating in 1994, while Chicago followed in 2003 and New York in 2010. – read more at Forbes
