Whodunnit Soirees on Chartered Yachts are Criminally Entertaining

Pursuitist - 5-Star Luxury

Imagine a glittering Mediterranean evening aboard Christina O, the legendary yacht once owned by Aristotle Onassis. Guests sip champagne under the stars while a string quartet plays beside a Steinway piano that once belonged to Maria Callas. A scream echoes from the upper deck. A priceless heirloom is missing. The culprit is among you.

Welcome to Pelorus Yachting’s new murder mystery experience aboard extraordinary yachts. It’s a new chartered yacht entertainment option in which the host chooses the narrative — a classic 1930s thriller, a spy drama, or perhaps a contemporary psychological thriller. Then Pelorus tailor-makes the scenarios which are reenacted on one of three chartered yachts:

CHRISTINA O (Mediterranean & Caribbean): Once the most famous yacht in the world, Christina O still carries the aura of her glamorous past, a perfect stage for a 1950s-era intrigue or a Riviera-style espionage plot. The Pelorus team weaves real history into the script, with clues hidden in the bar where Churchill first met JKF.

SEQUOIA (Indonesia): This hand-built wooden yacht, sailing through Komodo, Raja Ampat, and the Spice Islands, lends itself to an exotic “Murder in Paradise” theme. Guests can follow a trail of clues from secret beaches to coral gardens, with candlelit dinners and Balinese costumes enhancing the drama.

CELESTIA (Indonesia & the Coral Triangle): The perfect stage for a luxury dive expedition that turns deliciously sinister. Between morning dives in Raja Ampat’s coral gardens and sunset cocktails on the upper deck, guests follow a trail of hidden motives threaded through secret beach dinners, mysterious “found” messages, and midnight rendezvous beneath the Southern Cross.

Each storyline is designed by Pelorus’ expedition team and professional actors, seamlessly integrated into an itinerary for a single evening or a multi-day game unfolding from port to port. Our fingers are crossed that Pelorus will add a Mideast chartered yacht option to the fleet for a Murder on the Nile production.
