Caviar Russe: Caviar Golden Egg
A notable nationwide caviar institution, Caviar Russe is the place to be on National Caviar Day for all things caviar. Their signature “Golden Egg”-a crispy panko-fried egg, topped with Osetra caviar and nestled on a bed of Parmesan foam is a must have. This decadent dish delivers a symphony of flavors and textures, and as owner Eddy Panchernikov describes it, “The Golden Egg is the epitome of indulgence, a harmonious blend of comfort and luxury.”
Chelsea Living Room: Crispy Cheese & Caviar
Chelsea Living Room is a hidden gem, located on the border of Chelsea and the Meatpacking District. A night at Chelsea Living Room will have you surrounded by candlelight, gorgeous interiors, a friendly staff, classic cocktails, live jazz and sultry burlesque performances. Celebrate National Caviar Day here with many caviar options, including the popular Crispy Cheese & Caviar- a decadently smoked mozzarella stick fried with crispy herb panko topped with a generous dollop of caviar ($49) or the Wagyu & Caviar Toast ($48), made with wagyu beef tenderloin and caviar on brioche toast. Other caviar dishes include the spaghetti with lemon butter sauce, or the Cod & Caviar sandwich. If a classic presentation is more your style, the caviar service has options of togarashi chips, blinis or brioche toast with 1 oz. of Royal Ossetra ($180) or Kaluga ($120).
Coqodaq: The Golden Nugget
If you can snag a hard to get reservation, Coqodaq is the home to The Golden Nugget, the first dish on the appetizer menu featuring a chicken nugget with the choice of 18k (ocean trout row for $16) or the 24k option (Golden Daurenki Caviar for $28).
Only Love Strangers: Caviar Cannoli
Head downtown to the Lower East Side, for a hip, bi-level cocktail bar and lounge that is perfect for low-key date nights. The sharable Caviar Cannoli was created by Chef Tabitha Yeh, made with phyllo dough filled with crème fraîche and chive puree, and accented with Ossetra caviar on both sides. $21
Le Jardinier: Limited Edition Caviar Menu
Created especially for National Caviar Day, Michelin Starred Le Jardinier and upstairs cocktail bar Bar Bastion has created a menu only available July 15th-July 20th. Choose from Caviar Avocado Mousse and a glass of Louis Roederer 243 Collection ($50), Caviar Tartlets with a glass of Louis Roederer 243 Collection ($60) or Cured Hiramasa w/ Caviar Supplement, half price glass of any BTG champagne.
Castell Rooftop: Caviar Martini
Caviar martinis are having a moment in NYC, and sophisticated midtown Manhattan Castell Rooftop has launched a Dirty Caviar Martini with blue cheese olives topped with caviar, making it the perfect savory cocktail to enjoy while taking in the Empire State Building views. $40
Madeline’s Martini: Caviar Sandwich
Madeline’s Martini is the newest cocktail bar from Endless Hospitality Group (Goodnight Sonny, The Wayland, High Hope Tavern), and another perfect low-key, downtown New York place to celebrate National Caviar Day. The Caviar Sandwich is made with Black caviar, horseradish, and egg yolk spread, cut into perfect triangles sans crust. Pair with one of many martinis on the menu, for the perfect pairing. $22
Panorama Room: Caviar Nachos
With a fun take on traditional nachos, the light-filled, swanky Panorama Room in Graduate Roosevelt Island is made up of plantains, trout roe, wasabi tobiko, creme fraise, chive and quail egg. For a $50 upcharge, add ossetra. $28
The Bar Room: Caviar & Tots
One of the most underrated pairings is caviar and tater tots. The Bar Room has unlocked the secret combo with a combination of pearl street ossetra, créme fraîche, and chives. $28
