Welsh actor Rhys Ifan, best known for his hilarious role in ‘Notting Hill’, has joined the cast of the Spider-man reboot as the villain of the franchise. He’ll play the nemesis of Peter Parker – played by Andrew Garfield , fresh off the hit film The Social Network.
No word on what villain Ifan will portray.
Since his breakout role in 1999’s “Notting Hill,” Ifan has appeared in a variety of films, including “Elizabeth: The Golden Age” and “Pirate Radio.” He is also set to appear in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”
The film will be released in 3-D in 2012.
