There’s nothing unsightlier than a graffiti emblazoned dumpster, filled to the brim with all manner of trash–a common sight in cities across a world which produces so much of the stuff. The griminess of the dumpster, for some, is such that it immediately endows whatever objects may be placed inside it with the same unappealing, valueless quality–a fallacy recently highlighted with the discovery of how some retailers dispose of their unsold products. One artist is hoping to change this perception of dumpsters by beautifying them with wallpaper, to surprising effect. Perhaps by recasting these urban-eyesores as objects of, dare I say, inspiration, our attitudes towards what fills them will change as well. – from TreeHugger
