Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts unveiled designs and announced the development of a Waldorf Astoria hotel in Beverly Hills, a partnership between a private investor group led by Alagem Capital Group and clients of Guggenheim Partners. The brand plans to open the new Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills in 2017.
Located adjacent to The Beverly Hilton on the corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards in Beverly Hills, the 12-story, 170-room luxury hotel will be the brand’s first new build on the West Coast and will join the Waldorf Astoria portfolio of 24 hotels and resorts.
“The arrival of our Waldorf Astoria brand to Beverly Hills is one of the most highly anticipated developments in our portfolio,” said John T.A. Vanderslice, global head, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Worldwide. “Beverly Hills is synonymous with luxury. This Waldorf Astoria hotel will be impeccably designed to provide unforgettable experiences reflective of its iconic location.”
Celebrating in style with true Hollywood glamour, Waldorf Astoria hosted a signing event at The Beverly Hilton that was attended by Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks, singer Natalie Cole, Beny Alagem (Owner, Beverly Hilton and Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills), Chris Nassetta (CEO, Hilton Worldwide), the Honorable Lilli Bosse (Mayor of Beverly Hills), John Vanderslice (Global Head of Hilton Luxury Brands), Pierre-Yves Roch, Angelique Soave, Christine Chiu, and DJ Kiss.
The hotel will feature a triple-height lobby with a contemporary Art Deco design, the signature Waldorf Astoria clock, hand-painted murals of California landscapes and custom chandeliers. Each of the 170 guestrooms will feature floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto oversized private balconies, furnished and landscaped to create a Beverly Hills Lanai that brings the outdoors inside. On the third level, Villa Suites will open onto manicured private garden terraces. The rooftop pool deck will be the largest rooftop destination of its kind in Beverly Hills and will include landscaping, VIP cabanas, lounge areas and a swimming pool for hotel guests.
The property will also feature a world-class 5,000 square-foot Waldorf Astoria Spa.
