The Wahlberg brothers threw open the door to their new restaurant, aptly called Wahlburgers. The burger joint in Hingham, Massachusetts, hosted a red carpet opening Monday, attended by brothers Mark and Donnie, as well as local athletes from the Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins. Brother and restaurateur Paul Wahlberg, who already runs Alma Nove in the same area, will head the business. Alma Nove is named after their mother and her brood of nine or ‘nove’ children.
Items from the fast casual restaurant menu clock in at $10 or under, and include 100 percent beef burgers such as the Triple Decker Triple Stack — “like the house we grew up in” — as well as the timely Thanksgiving burger made with ground turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, roasted butternut squash and mayo.
Restaurant decor also relies heavily on the star power of brothers Mark and Donnie, with posters and memorabilia of their music and movies. Wahlburgers opened to the public Tuesday.
