A rare 1953 Ferrari 375 MM Spider by Pinin Farina is expected to fetch upwards of $9 million at auction next month. RM Auctions will conduct the auction, which takes place August 16 and 17 during the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Monterey, CA.
The vintage 1953 Ferrari 375 MM Spider was originally commissioned by Jim Kimberly, who was heir to the Kimberly-Clark fortune. Kimberly entered the car in dozens of races in 1954, winning most of them.
The auction of the Ferrari 375 MM Spider is part of one of the largest auctions of classic cars in the country. The August 16 and 17 event will feature more than 25 cars that are expected to sell for in excess of $1 million.
