Every year, Victoria’s Secret’s annual fashion show features some of the world’s most beautiful women strutting down the catwalk clad in jaw-dropping lingerie designs accessorized with elaborate wings. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2015 unfolded at the Lexington Avenue Armory in New York City. Since the show, which is viewed by 500 million people all over the world, is scheduled to air on December 8 on the CBS Television Network, lets take a sneak peek from the biggest night in fashion. For the first time, the show opened with the same model, Behati Prinsloo, as last year. She ushered in the first theme for the night, boho psychedelic. Bras, panties and bikinis were accentuated with Brian Atwood-designed thigh-high suede boots and lace-up platform stilettos along with fringe jackets and long flowing capes covered in trippy prints. This year’s all-star lineup of the Angels included Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel and Lily Aldridge. 2015 also saw debut of newest Angels – Elsa Hosk, Jac Jagaciak, Jasmine Tookes, Kate Grigorieva, Lais Ribeiro, Martha Hunt, Romee Strijd, Sara Sampaio, Stella Maxwell, Taylor Hill and Rachel Hilbert. However, the guests erupted in loud cheer when Kendall Jenner made Victoria’s Secret runway debut. More noise rolled in with Goulding’s performance of “Army” which served as the backdrop to an exotic butterfly theme, which was led by Victoria’s Secret veteran Adriana Lima.Goulding took to stage again later in the show during the Ice Angels set. The winter-themed portion of the night featured models wearing furry hats, elaborate feather wings and diamond-encrusted bodysuits. The Weeknd crooned “In the Night” to set the ambiance for the Portrait Of An Angel part when models strutted past him in pastel get-ups that channeled a sexy Marie Antoinette.WWD reports that Selena Gomez pumped up the spirits with “Me & My Girls” for the Pink USA theme, which celebrated a myriad of occupations. Megan Puleri wore a silver astronaut leotard; Hadid wore a red sports bra and baggy yellow pants that were reminiscent of a firefighter, and Leila Nda channeled a cowboy with a Western shirt and wide-brim hat.Lastly, the show-stopping part of the evening surfaced as models wore looks inspired by fireworks and boasted of the most inventive wing designs. Joan Smalls’ wings took on the shape of a firework and actually spun, while multiple gold stars sprouted from Constance Jablonski’s back. For the finale, confetti shot into the air and the girls, clad in barely-there-lingerie, danced to “Electric Love” by Børns.
Until the show airs on CBS in December, take a look at the $2 million Fireworks Fantasy Bra.
