Damascus Steel – ancient, strong and nasty. We like.
No matter how bad things get economically, there is always a selected group of elite people around the world who won’t find that their lifestyles need to be changed in order to adjust to leaner times. It is this particular group of people that the Vertu Ascent Ti Damascus Steel was developed, apparently relying on “ancient steel forging” techniques that resulted in an increase of the metal’s hardness. As for its specifications, don’t expect the Vertu Ascent Ti Damascus Steel to venture too far away from familiar territory, with a QVGA display, S40 user interface, GSM/UMTS connectivity, a 3.2-megapixel camera with LED flash and 4GB of internal memory sounding more or less about right. There will only be a hundred of these available, although there is no price released just yet. – From ubergizmo
