Ferraris has led Jil Sander since ’04.
Gianni Versace has named Gian Giacomo Ferraris, the luxury goods veteran who has led Jil Sander since 2004, as its new chief executive. The move comes just days after Versace announced that Giancarlo Di Risio was leaving the Italian fashion house after intense speculation of a rift between the chief executive and creative director Donatella Versace. Versace said Mr Ferraris would take up the reins in the middle of July. “The nomination of Mr Ferraris represents the determination of the shareholders and of the board of directors to continue to guarantee a strong, competent and united managerial leadership to the Versace Group,” the company said. – From Financial Times
