The film revolves around Frank – played by Depp – an American tourist visiting Italy to mend a broken heart. There he meets Elise (Jolie) – an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path.
The film is made by German director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck – his first English language film.
