After five years in the making, the Ritz-Carlton, Toronto, is ready to open.
The move marks the return of the Ritz-Carlton to Canada. Here are some highlights of the new luxury hotel:
It features 450 pieces of original artwork by up and coming Canadian artists. Each piece was hand-selected for the walls and public spaces of the hotel.
There are custom-designed bronze maple leafs are embedded into the lobby floor.
A 500 lb single slab of green onyx marble adorns the wall above the free-standing bathtub in the 2,400 square foot Ritz-Carlton Suite.
Over 200 varieties of cheese will be stocked in the glass-encased cheese cave at signature restaurant TOCA by Tom Brodi.
5,000 bottles wine will be delivered to the hotel’s wine cellar prior to opening day.
