Baking aficionados, read carefully. One of our favorite properties, The Resort at Paws Up, is celebrating their 25th anniversary this year with a series of fun themed events — and Upper Crust, one of the most popular, is returning again over Columbus Day Weekend.
Kate McDermott (aka “The Pie Whisperer”), and James Beard Award-Winning Chef Mindy Segal, former pastry chef for Charlie Trotter are hosting a four-day event where by day, guests will experience pie making and baking with Kate, cookie and pastry workshops with Mindy, and wide range of wilderness adventures. By night, all will enjoy cuisine from Paws Up’s Executive Chef Ben Jones paired with exquisite wine.
In between all the foodie fun, guests can take their pick of “glamping” activities, from hiking to pampering spa treatments to fly-fishing and cattle drives.
We visited the resort a few years back and had a blast – it’s a perfect place for the whole family — Dad or the non-baker of the family can entertain the kiddos or you can enjoy the experience a deux with a girlfriend or significant other.
Upper Crust is an all-inclusive weekend October 9-12, 2015. Pricing is from $760 per person per night (double occupancy) for four days, three nights. This rate includes a private home accommodation, three meals daily, all scheduled workshops and activities, wine tastings, airport transportation to/from Missoula International Airport (MSO), and on-property transportation.
