The Green Dragon, a New Zealand pub that recreates the look and feel of the same drinking establishment as seen in the Lord of the Rings films, has officially open for business. The Hobbit pub is located in Hobbiton, near Matamata, New Zealand — the same location where the movies were filmed by Peter Jackson. Art director and project manager Brian Massey led the construction of the Green Dragon Pub, and a team of 80 labourers assisted in adding the themed attraction to the beautiful stretch of land. The Green Dragon at Hobbiton was officially opened by New Zealand Prime Minister John Key late last month. We wonder, however, will there be a smoking section for those who wish to enjoy their pipeweed indoors?
