The fashion house of Fendi was established by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in Rome in 1925. Nearly a century later, the legendary Italian luxury brand is basking in the Spanish sunshine for the opening of the first Fendi beach club.
The summer-long pop-up is hosted by the always fashionable Puente Romano Beach Resort in Malaga, Spain. The five-star resort’s Chiringuito Beach Club has been remodeled with vibrant colors, prints, and emblematic stripes reflecting Fendi’s signature collections.
Until the end of September, the Fendi beach club is decorated in the playful, unconventional spirit of the Italian fashion house and its new Astrology Summer Capsule Collection 2023. Each table features Fendi tableware decorated with the signs of the zodiac, evocative of the Astrology Collection inspired by the iconic collections from Fendi archives including Spring/Summer 1990 and Spring/Summer 1993, alongside key codes established by Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear Kim Jones.
On the beach in front of Chiringuito, Fendi-inspired cabanas and open-air lounges are furnished with daybeds and beach chairs decorated with red and yellow cushions, and soft rugs in beachy tones. Just beyond the tropical palms is the beach promenade along the warm Mediterranean shore where yachts, jet skis and paddle boards play on the waves.
Adjacent to the beach club is a Fendi pop-up store, presenting the key items of the new Astrology Collection and select pieces such as Peekaboo and Baguette bags. For the dedicated brand fan, the newly opened Fendi Puerto Banús Boutique is located just around the corner from the resort.
