Opening this September, The Blue Harbour Spa at the Wyndham Grand hotel will offer luxury and indulgence to London’s exclusive Chelsea Harbour.
The spa will offer treatments from luxury product houses including Yon Ka, Aromatherapy Associates, Monu and Mama Mio. The wide-ranging spa menu is created with eastern and western influences in mind, and incorporates holistic therapies including reflexology and Ayurvedic massage alongside everything from volcanic stone massages to salt scrubs to seaweed wraps.
Two of the six treatment rooms at the spa are double, allowing guests to choose whether to enjoy their treatments alone, or to share the experience with a friend or partner.
Treatments tailored to mums-to-be, and a specific menu of treatments for men, ensure every guest is given truly individual consideration, and allows their specific needs to be met. Mama Mio is behind the Mama’s touch treatments, which include the Yummy Tummy – the ultimate in skin care for the baby bump – and Mellow Mama, a full body massage which uses pre-natal techniques to target the lower back muscles. For men, Monu’s Vitru range offers treatments such as Skin Fitness, a deep cleanse and detox for the skin, and the Power Back & Neck, a deep tissue massage with hot and cold stones to target ingrained tension. The Blue Harbour Spa will also offer a signature treatment, the Melt Massage (£90): a massage oil candle melts into a luscious scented oil, which is dripped all over the body for a 75 minute massage.
The hotel will also offer a range of spa days, which include a package of treatments, gentle exercise and body cleansing, as well as unlimited use of the thermal and wet spa, and a champagne lunch. In the case of the After Work Wind Down, which starts at five in the afternoon, a light supper is served: the final touch on an evening designed to melt away the stress of city life. The Day Spa can be a complete retreat, or a chance to reconnect with each other: the Spa Together package encourages couples to enjoy the signature massage, while The Two of Us offers mothers and daughters a facial, massage, and manicure or pedicure.
The opening of the Blue Harbour Spa forms part of a hotel-wide refurbishment, which has already seen the launch of a new penthouse floor and the redesign of the interior, and a number of outdoor spaces which capitalise on the hotel’s tranquil setting. In addition to the spa treatments, the health club will offer state of the art fitness equipment in the 24-hour gym, as well as a sauna, steam room and 17 metre pool, complete with swan neck waterfalls and swim jets: the total well-being package.
