Preceding her spring summer 2016 collection at London Fashion Week, the English fashion accessories designer has launched the Anya Hindmarch Service Station Pop-Up at Selfridges. Drive up to the third-floor carpark of the Oxford Street department store to indulge in the fun experiences as well as shop from a range of motorway-inspired runway collection. The pop-up store has transformed the car park into a stylish M25 service station, with a ‘hot’ car wash-themed photo station and gift kiosk with exclusive Service Station products, all created for Selfridges, like the customizable high-vis jackets, Anya winkey car freshener, bumper stickers and more. It also offers a refuel at the Little Chef pit stop.Shoppers can loosen their purse strings to buy the new collection that includes Anya Hindmarch classics like the Ephson, the Ebury, the Bathurst and the Imperial clutch. All the designs feature the unmistakable insignia of British motorway signage, seen on roads and motorways.Opt for Anya Hindmarch’s unconventional sense of style with the Men At Work Ebury tote. Emblazoned with a road sign, this butter-soft leather tote has a slim lightweight structure for effortless city-chic style and is available for about $2,300.
Hindmarch spoke about the collection and the new ephemeral auto-themed service station, “I wanted to take the creativity of the LFW show directly to our customers in a fun and unexpected way. Doing a pop-up in the Selfridges car park felt so right given the autumn/winter 2015 collection was inspired by many hours driving on the M25! I always think fashion should make you smile so was keen to create a pop-up that was creative and stylish but also offered fun experiences for people – a hot car wash photo booth, exclusive service station merchandise like condoms and nodding dogs that you can only buy here, and high-vis jackets like the ones worn in our show that you can personalize with your name.”
