Here’s the official news we just received from TAG Heuer:
The TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster, traveling around the world on the Odyssey of Pioneers tour, continues its journey through the United States. Last month, Los Angeles was the 12th stop of a 22,000 mile journey through 15 major cities and hundreds of towns over three continents (http://odyssey.tagheuer.com/).
The first world tour by a zero-emission vehicle, the Odyssey of Pioneers centers around the 2010 TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster, a one-of-a-kind collector’s car incorporating TAG Heuer styling and design elements, a unique concept watch, and TAG Heuer timepieces.
The tour celebrates TAG Heuer’s 150th anniversary and the company’s worldwide partnership with Tesla Motors.
The TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster will make additional stops in several U.S. cities for public displays, owner appreciation gatherings, and VIP events. Stops include Las Vegas, Houston, Baton Rouge, Orlando, Miami, Savannah, Raleigh, Washington DC and New York. Event details for each location can be found at http://www.teslamotors.com/events.
The TAG Heuer and Tesla exclusive events will take place at the cities’ top authorized TAG Heuer retail locations. The TAG Heuer Roadster will be displayed in front of the store, along with a second Tesla Roadster. A limited number of people will have the opportunity to test-drive the non-branded vehicle.
The latest TAG Heuer timepieces will be highlighted during the events. Customers who purchase a TAG Heuer timepiece on the day of the event will receive a special Tesla appreciation box designed by Tesla’s chief designer, Franz von Holzhausen.
In addition, customers who attend an event and purchase a Tesla Roadster through September 3, 2010, will receive a TAG Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 36 RS Caliper chronometer engraved with their Roadster’s VIN.
