If you like to think of yourself as a creative person, then you know how important doodling is. It helps fight boredom while tapping into your subconscious creativity. Expressive and elegant at the same time, the Doodle sofa by Swedish design group Front encompasses that need for letting creative thoughts out and displays them out in the open, creating a textured piece of furniture in the precess.
Designed for Italian company Moroso, the intriguing sofa design was imagined as a collection of lines stamped into the folding design of the seating unit. Completely covered with creative outlets that the three members of Front doodled during design meetings, this modern sofa is an artistic interpretation of the team’s efforts: “The decoration is a kind of by-product of Front’s creative process, inscribed onto the folded half circle of the sofa’s form.” Scroll down to see how the pattern looked before applying it to the furniture and get a closer look at the details shaping an elegantly interesting design.
