Our old chum Hans-Günther Zach, who last year decided to liquidate his private Rolls-Royce museum in Mühlheim, Germany, has now consigned his famous collection to RM Auctions’ Sporting Classics of Monaco sale slated for the 1st of May. The main attraction is of course the famed Star of India, a 1934 Rolls-Royce 40/50 HP Phantom II Continental “All-Weather Convertible” custom built for the the Maharaja of Rajkot, bodied by Thrupp and Maberley and finished in saffron ochre with polished aluminum wings, which had been listed for sale on James. – From James List
