Collectors will love this new new stamp honoring the first American space mission on the 50th anniversary of the occasion.
The forever stamps features astronaut Alan Shepard, as well as the first spacecraft to orbit Mercury.
Shepard blasted off on a 15-minute suborbital flight on May 5, 1961, becoming the first American in space. Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin had beat Shepard into space by less a month.
