Multiplan arhitekti completed the design of a highly modern residence located 20 minutes away by car from Ljubljana, Slovenia. House Katarina was integrated into a spectacular natural landscape, offering exceptional views of the surrounding hills, as well as a unique perspective over Ljubljana. Built on an extremely long and narrow plot, the residence was partially embedded into the ground and features cantilevered volumes.
According to the architects, “the feeling of lightness is emphasized by light steel construction with large panoramic glazing of the south façade, allowing unlimited expansion of space. Opposite to the southern part, the northern side is leaning towards the ground, while the upper level is public, designed as access to the building. This way the house has a dual, hybrid design, not only in cross-section, but also in plan”. Walking through the rooms of this lovely home surrounded by raw nature must feel truly invigorating. How do you find its views?
