French luxury brand, Zilli, has made a name for itself in the men’s fashion industry by asserting itself as a forerunner in the invention of luxury leather jackets. But it’s their newest launch of solid gold sunglasses and gold-engraved skis that has caught our attention.
Zilli eyewear has unveiled elegant solid gold glasses by blending creativity and high technology. Christened Flamel, the frame of the dazzling glasses is shaped out of 18-carat gold which is equal to about 38 grams of yellow gold. Also they have pioneered in combining solid gold with Japanese ceramic black in form of an inserted ingot that boasts of the brand name on the arm.
The product page also mentions that hand-polished cellulose acetate ornament the side-pieces. A dash of bright tartan shade is seen on the inside of the arm, with mahogany tones enhanced by red and deep black color on the outside.
Flaunt your style as well as protect your eyes by opting from brown or dark grey shade lenses. The multi-layer polarised solar lenses come with external and internal anti-reflection coating and water-repellent UVA and UVB protection. Chiseled out of solid gold with hands, the sunglasses also sports screws and nuts made of the same yellow metal. Limited to just 50 pieces, the Flamel gold sunglasses will be available in select Zilli stores from March.
To mark the 22nd Winter Olympics held in Sotchi, Zilli has also unveiled a luxurious line dedicated entirely to skiing. The brand has teamed up with Ski-maker Lacroix to launch a pair of gold-engraved skis. These made-to-order skis are crafted from superimposed titanium, carbon and Kevlar. The capsule collection also comprises of bi-stretch Gore-Tex ski jacket, ski pants, a pair of Gore Tex and leather gloves along with titanium and pure carbon fiber ski eyewear. This exclusive line designed to lure well-heeled skiers is only available in Courchevel and Sotchi Zilli stores.
