Russian studio Geometrix Design have recently finished another astounding project – this time we see the results of creative work in a modern TV/living room. After seeing how a kitchen can be totally transformed from boring to fabulous with wooden slats and a home come to life under a new and luxurious shape, we get to see how the designers transformed a cluttered space into a versatile media room for a musician’s family.
Following the brief, designers were able to recreate this space to accommodate storage systems for musical instruments and equipment alongside other personal belongings without reducing the available space. Also, the clients requested room for rehearsals and giving lessons and a place to sleep. All these requests came in the shape of a highly contemporary interior design with built-in storage systems displaying a playful geometry. The TV wall was adorned with a great soundproof material – felt-lined panels – and the LED strips and light colors were chosen to convey a sense of openness and lightness. Protruding from the wall and lined with mirrors on both the upper and lower part, this TV wall stands out, becoming part of the overall geometric design.
