London’s Heathrow Airport has become the latest hub to offer harried travelers a new way to take the stress out of flying with the launch of a new yoga studio.
Passengers flying with SkyTeam airlines out of Heathrow’s Terminal 4 can partake in a pre-flight yoga class as part of a two-month pilot project aimed at helping travellers zen out before boarding their plane and being confined to their seats for hours on end.
Held inside SkyTeam’s London Exclusive Lounge, the pop-up yoga studio will provide mats while classes will be guided via instructional videos.
Member airlines that fly out of Heathrow include Delta, Air France, KLM, Korean Air and China Eastern.
Heathrow joins airports in Helsinki, San Francisco, Dallas Forth Worth and Chicago in offering a yoga programme.
Permanent wellness programmes at the SkyTeam lounge at Heathrow include an oxygen bar, massage chairs and a range of complimentary treatments.
