Shelby SuperCars has reclaimed the title for the making the world’s fastest production car with the Tuatara – besting the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. The Tuatara (pronounced twu-tar-ah) goes a sizzling 275-mph.
The Tuatara will be composed entirely of carbon fiber and wrapped around a chassis made of the same material. The wheels will also be carbon fiber. The crash structure of the Tuatara will be made of alumninum.
So, how do you get to 275-mph? How about by using a twin-turbocharged 7.0-liter V-8 with upwards of 1,350 horsepower.
