Thanks to the advent of DVR and Netflix, it’s easier than ever to indulge (read: binge watch) your favorite telephone shows and movies. Thanks to luxe tour operator Black Tomato, it’s easier than ever to live your favorite shows in real life.
Black Tomato offers a series of tours where travelers can enjoy pre-planned trips to visit their favorite set locations, including fun extras like the chance to meet the scouts who helped determine just where each wonderful scene would take place.
Several tours even feature soon-to-return shows. Plan a Game of Thrones-inspired journey during the new season, which starts April 6th, a tour centered on urban crime drama The Bridge for this summer or a Mad Men journey in NYC timed to coincide with the premier of the final season, April 13th. Tours are also available for cult favorite shows like Downton Abbey, Breaking Bad and Lost.
The trips are fit for a Khaleesi, with private guides, meals at restaurants featured in the shows and luxury accommodations at properties like Hotel Plaza Athenee in New York.
They range in length — the Breaking Bad tour is five nights, the Game of Thrones tour, nine — and price, beginning at about $4,700 per person and going upwards to almost $15,000, but are inclusive of airfare from New York or London.
