Luxury is coming to Disney World in the form a new $360 million Four Seasons resort. The new resort will be inside Disney’s Orlando theme park near the Osprey Ridge Golf Course, within the Golden Oak residential community. Golden Oak was created and master-planned by Disney. It will open in late 2014.
The hotel will have 444 rooms – making it the biggest Four Seasons to date. As expected, it will also be ‘family-friendly’. Some amenities will include a climbing wall, basketball courts, three pools, a lazy river, and a teen recreation center. There will also be a rooftop restaurant, a 14,000 sq. ft spa with 18 treatment room, and a full fitness center.
The move by the Four Seasons will make it the destination for luxury travelers. The Grand Floridian is considered by most people to the be the best Disney hotel, but it is not a match for a Four Seasons experience.
