When in Switzerland, expect to see incredible architecture, despite what some people may call modesty. This particular chalet was designed by Savioz Fabrizzi Architecte and is located in the picturesque village of Albinen. White wood and stone give authenticity to the exterior facade, which exudes rustic features and inspired coziness.
According to the architects, the house consists of two separate volumes constituted by a base of stone masonry, topped with a built in timber part. A few decades ago, the building housed livestock at the base, while the upper portion served as a storage of hay. Some of the traditional features of the project were kept intact, which makes the dwelling very interesting to observe and to live in. Access is ensured through doors on the bottom level and large windows ensure a high amount of natural light. Does it not look perfect for a bohemian escape?
