They’re not even in production! Prince Badr bin Saud of Saudi Arabia just purchased these Bugatti Chiron and Vision Gran Turismo concept cars for over $5 million.
Bugatti shared on their Facebook page:
“Bugatti is delighted to announce that both the world premiere show car of the new Bugatti #Chiron, that was the star at this year’s Geneva International Motor Show and the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept car, which was presented to the world at the IAA – Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung last year, conquered the heart of a car enthusiast and Bugatti lover from Saudi Arabia https://www.instagram.com/b14/, who purchased both vehicles to become the crowns of his private car collection. The customer was awarded the contract after submitting the most convincing bid.”
There’s no mention on how much the wealthy Prince paid for the two Bugatti concepts with quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 engines, but based on the production car’s MSRP, he paid in excess of $5 million.
You may have missed your opportunity to acquire these cars, but you can still view them in California. On Friday, August 19, 2016, the Chiron is premiering at The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering, while on Sunday, August 21, 2016, the Chiron and the concept car Vision Gran Turismo will be on show at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
