Romantic Indulgence in the Caribbean’s Newest Overwater Villas

Pursuitist - 5-Star Luxury

It’s no longer necessary to jet around the world to stay in dreamy private pier bungalows made famous in French Polynesia, Fiji, and the Maldives. The Caribbean’s first overwater villas debuted at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica, and the newest overwater villas can now be enjoyed at Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Even more impressive is that they also happen to be the Caribbean’s first two-story villa design.

The deluxe 1,248 square foot Vincy Overwater Two-Story Villas are built directly above the azure sea in Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ private cove. Designed for the ultimate in indoor/outdoor lounging, the villas feature a netted day bed on the main level (which hangs above the water), a personal second floor deck, and a romantic and discrete outdoor soaking tub.

Glass inserts in the villa floor allow guests to view the local wildlife swimming underneath. The villas come with butler service, room service, Chef’s Table dining experiences, and complimentary boat transfers from the airport.

Tempting you to tear away from the villa are the resort’s 50 secluded acres including unspoiled beaches, four swimming pools, two whirlpools, 11 restaurants, unlimited premium cocktails, tennis, PADI-certified SCUBA diving, snorkeling, sailing, paddleboarding and kayaking.

And the embarrassment of riches are all included: Sandals is the first all-inclusive resort in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The A-list accommodations are located near the best local sites and activities: a rainforest hike to the crater atop La Soufrière; ancient petroglyphs; and diving excursions at Anchor Reef to see the black coral found nowhere else.
