A wonderful hotel is about to become even more wonderful:
The largest planned expansion of the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel since the blufftop hotel opened in 1984 as the first large luxury resort along the Orange County coast was unanimously approved by the city Planning Commission on Monday night. Commissioners sanctioned the hotel’s request for a site development permit to expand by 30,396 square feet and for upgrades including adding 27 new rooms and other improvements, starting a 15-day clock during which their decision can be appealed to the City Council. – from the OC
