St. James’s Palace is now available for rent, for only $47,400 a day. Live like a queen, literally.
Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II has agreed to rent the regal rooms at St. James’s Palace during the 2012 Olympics in London. Rooms and apartments in the palace, including the Throne Room, Tapestry Room, and Queen Anne Room will be rented to private companies. With close proximity to the athletic activities, the palace is the perfect location to experience the games. Of course, this is all for a good cause…
“All the monies raised will be able to supplement the Sovereign Grant and will be spent on the upkeep of the royal residences,” said a Buckingham Palace spokesperson.
The royal rooms are available during the Olympics games which begin July 27 and run until August 12.
St. James’s Palace is one of London’s oldest palaces. It is situated in Pall Mall, just north of St. James’s Park. Although no sovereign has resided there for almost two centuries, it has remained the official residence of the Sovereign and the most senior royal palace in the UK.
