J+H Boiffils was recently commissioned to designed yet another mind-blowing project in the Emirates. Famous football team and sports institution Real Madrid in collaboration with the government of the Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah, will develop Real Madrid Resort Island, a place where luxury and sports will go hand in hand.
According to The Guardian, Real Madrid Resort Island will be home to the world’s first stadium with one side open to the sea, exclusive villas, a 5-star hotel, an amusement park and a club museum. The total investment is estimated at $1 billion.
“Real Madrid Resort Island will be a major tourist and sporting center of great dimensions and the highest level. This extraordinary complex will attract millions of people looking for quality leisure services. It is a decisive and strategic step that will strengthen our institution in the Middle East and Asia“, explained Florentino Pérez, the president of Real. The resort is due to open on January 2015 and at least one million visitors are expected within the first year.
