The Luxury Technology Show is a one of a kind showcase produced by RAND Luxury. Pursuitist attended the event, recently held in New York, which featured the latest innovations from some of the most prestigious and cutting edge technology brands from around the world. Here we share those gadgets and goods that most impressed us — and that you’ll want to know about now:
Never lose your luggage… or fear for your FiveIron! LugTrack showcased its patented system for luggage tracking in an all new format at this year’s show. Acting on IAGTO’s findings that worldwide golf holidays had increased 20% in 2013/2014, naturally LugTrack looked to the links… and embedded its system into a Treccani Milano golf bag for the first time though a strategic partnership with the bespoke luxury accessories maker. Hole in One! Prices vary due to customization: $12,500 to $42,000
Cycling enthusiasts can now take their favorite instructor home! Peloton, a high-design indoor bike has merged its form with modern technology function, now allowing you to take high-energy cycling classes from top instructors from the comfort of your home. Get your sweaty workout on solo with the same motivation as would from a group class. $1995
This tool really wants you to use your mind. “Muse the Brain Sensing Headband” is a brain fitness tool. In just three minutes a day, you can improve your mental fitness though a brain training routine that can help you do more with your mind — and your life — while you are calmer and more composed. Plus, it’s like making a scientific study of yourself. $299
Power, beauty and attention to detail are in this luxury brand’s DNA. Tonino Lamborghini Mobile‘s techno-luxury line now includes luxury smartphones. Assembled by hand and coded with a unique device number before being finished in top quality leather (3 finishes, 5 colors), the newest phone — the 88 Tauri — features a front facing 8mp camera and a 5 inch full HD display. $6300
We think sight and sound are equally important. So impressive speakers in a not-so-impressive casing can really dampen the mood. Clio by Clearview shocked us with its almost invisible style! Ultra-thin, slightly curved and optically clear glass allows the wireless Clio to be barely visibly placed anywhere while it produces rich, clear, room-filling sound. $349
Beddit is already the leading consumer focused sleep monitor on the market, but users’ growing need for complete and accurate data on sleep quality metrics has led the company to introduce its latest monitor, Beddit Smart. Using Apple’s iBeacon technology, users don’t even need to touch their iOS device to have their sleep measured. This truly automated sleep monitoring — with no wearables — places a super thin sensor on the mattress, right under the bed sheet, making your bed a smart bed, so you can focus on sleeping better.
Lastly, we loved the newly redesigned BMW i8, a sports car with the consumption and mission values of a compact car. It’s a plug-in hybrid with maximum efficiency as well as maximum dynamics on the road.
