To celebrate 100th anniversary of its first store in Milan, Prada has launched the ‘Prada Galleria’ restoration project which will help to strengthen its Italian roots in the city. The renowned fashion house has plans to restore this ancestral property which will spread out to accommodate new sales space and house events too.
The exhibition space devoted to Prada Foundation will promote contemporary art. The gallery will also house a restaurant which will welcome shoppers as well as guests to grab a bite.
However action has already begun in this seven story building, as a store dedicated to men’s fashion has just opened up. Located at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, which is the world’s oldest shopping mall, this monumental outlet of rubs shoulders with Duomo di Milano (popularly known as Milan Cathedral) and Scala (world-renowned opera house).
