In celebration of its 50th year, Porsche is launching a special edition version of its classic 911. Based on the Carrera S model, the new 911 features retro styling cues inside and out.
The anniversary edition is powered by a 3.8-liter flat six-cylinder engine that produces 430 horsepower and can reach 186 mph.
The exterior features a the wide-body coupe with 20-inch matte black wheels and chrome highlights. The 911 will be available in three colors – Graphite grey, Black monochrome and a lighter Geyser grey metallic. The 911 is fitted with special 50th anniversary badges out back on the deck lid. The interior design is a nod to the Porsche’s 1960s look with three-color embroidery details on the seats and surfaces and green labeling on the instruments. The seats have a “Pepita” tartan design, taken from the 1963 version of the 911.
Porsche will produce only 1,963 version of the anniversary edition, with a price of $158,000. It will be available this fall.
